Interval-Related Interpolation in Interval Temporal Logics
This paper presents a new kind of interpolation theorems about Neighbourhood Logic (NL, [ZH96]) and Interval Temporal Logic (ITL, [Mos85, Dut95]). Unlike Craig interpolation, which holds for these logics too, the new theorems treat the existence of interpolants which specify properties of selected intervals in the models of NL and ITL.
متن کاملConstrained C1 Interpolation on Rectangular Grids
.This paper is concerned with the range restricted interpolation of 'data on rectangular grids. The interpolant is constrained to lie on the same side of the constraint surface as the data. Sufficient non-negativity conditions on the Bezier ordinates are derived to ensure the non-negativity of a bicubic Bezier patch. The method modifies Bezier ordinates locally to fulfill the sufficient non-neg...
متن کاملBirkhoff Interpolation with Rectangular Sets of Nodes
Although it is important both in theory as well as in applications, a theory of Birkhoff interpolation with main emphasis on the shape of the set of nodes is still missing. Here we explain the problem, and then we concentrate on one of the simplest shapes (“rectangular”) in the case of bivariate uniforme Birkhoff interpolation schemes. The ultimate goal is to obtain a geometrical understanding ...
متن کاملLinear Interpolation and Estimation using Interval Analysis
This chapter considers interpolation and curve tting using generalized polynomials under bounded measurement uncertainties from the point of view of the solution set (not the parameter set). It characterizes and presents the bounding functions for the solution set using interval arithmetic. Numerical algorithms with result veri cation and corresponding programs for the computation of the boundi...
